Soft Armor
For me, a portrait begins with the moment a person becomes aware of being looked at.
This series explores the space between openness and distance. The face is deeply personal, yet it is also the first thing we present to the outside world.
Earlier Work
It grew from conversations about vulnerability, personal boundaries and lived experience. The idea was to approach these subjects through support and empathy, rather than turning pain into spectacle.
I would approach the photographs differently today, from the shooting itself to the editing. Still, I wanted to keep the series as part of the portfolio — a record of where my work began and how my approach has changed.
